How can I fix the seal on my Corningware 9 cup Percalator?
I have a Corningware 9 Cup Stovetop Percalator. When I pour the coffee out, some of it goes into the metal rim (seal is corroded) and leaks down the outside of the pot. Is there ANY way to replace this? It took a long time for me to find one, and it has been fine in every other way.
Try cleaning it with alcohol and giving it a thin coat of some low odor silicone adhesive sealant. It is sold in the paint department at hardware stores and auto part stores. Try to get the red (high heat) type.
