Mend Ariston Genus HE Combi Boiler Fault Hot Water

Fault on Ariston micro Genus HE combi boiler ?

radiator side of system ok, but it is not producing hot water from the taps. System seems to briefly try to fire when hot water demanded (turn tap on) but then it switches off and runs cold. No error code coming up on the boiler. Any ideas on how to fix?

boiler fires up for 45 seconds then goes to lockout on both hw and ch fan is running and pump boiler at least 8 years old

We are having the same problem with our boiler, started a few days ago when the temperatures dropped so we thought it may be a frozen pipe, did you find out if it was the diverter valve?
