it is a common problem with the door locks failing
did you notice a brown bit on the outer casing of the door lock when you where tinkering?.remove the door lock and see if there is a HOT SPOT brown mark in the plastic casing.Unfortunatly when they fail they can cause serious damage to the main control pcb door lock output circuit!.might be worth trying a NEW door lock but be aware if damage has occured on the pcb it will be a waste of your money BUT there isn't any way around this
