Mend Schott ME6 1Tc Hob Cooker Electric

Schott Cevan Touch Hob Model ME6 1Tc, Can't get it to switch it on?

We have just moved home and we now have a schott Ceven touch Hob, When we switch it on at the wall it bleeps, but pressing any of the other buttons it doesn't bleep at all, Can it be locked or is the unit faulty.
