How can I properly check and change automatic gear box oil on a Jaguar xj6 2004

Why? If it's working OK with no signs of leaks leave it alone. The box won't last any longer with different fluid. Most customers ask for an ATF change and only when quizzed do you get the full picture of whats not working correctly.
