Sharon, you can have this easily changed, most people enter a house through the front door, giving a time delay, Rear doors are normally programmed instant alarm zones, as most, not all but most break-ins occur at the rear of a house,

The Entry/Exit route for your alarm has been configured for the front door only and not the back door, this is quite normal.

the system needs programming to allow back door zone to have an entry delay to allow you to switch it off before the alarm goes off.
