How can i remove a philips screw with stripped head?

the screw holding in the indicator lens on my aprilasr50 has stripped. how can i remove with out causing damage to the plastic panels it sits in

drill the top of the screw so you just have the stem left the use plyers or mole grips to remove the stem.hope this helps

I use a dremmil grinder and I cut a slot into the top of screws. If you manage to make a slot then you will be able to use a slotted screwdriver as normal.
