how to start a corsa?

son just passed his test brought a corsa B type he`s a mechanic knocked the embolizer board managed to get couple of hours use from it now it won`t start totally dead brought a new embolizer board from vauxhal a friend registered the key with his two computers which he said should work but still does not work help! sorry don`t know much about cars doing this for son just incase Car was only£400 lets hpe its not a scrap job or going to cost more to fix.thanks sally
