How can I fix my Miele T494C Dryer?

I recently cleaned the condenser unit as it had never been cleaned in over 6 years. It had been working fine even though the condenser had a lot of lint etc and looked completely clogged. I cleaned it as per manual and dried it thoroughly and then replaced. Now when I put the machine on a normal cycle, after about 5 minutes it shorts and trips the mains. If I immediately turn it back on it works for a minute and trips again. I left it too cool down completely and ran it on cool for 15 minutes and it was OK. It seems to be that once it gets to a certain temp it trips the mains. It was working fine before i cleaned all the muck out of the condenser unit so i can only guess that it is running hotter now as it is working more efficiently and some thermostat is malfunctioning maybe? Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you
