I have bought an original Siemens door seal for my WDI1440 (at great expense), my old one is split at the top.
I have removed the door band and folded the seal in to reveal the air vent at the top. I can see what looks like a long flat jubilee clip connecting the air vent to the seal but I can't see how to remove it. Do I have to do this from inside the top of the cabinet ?
PS. I have 3 women in the house so this is urgent.
Just finished, took me nearly 6 hours. The captive nut fell of one connector on the warm air vent so it is only held on at the lower end, had a lot of trouble connecting the drain valve at the bottom of the door seal - its in but not fully home. have run through a short 30 wash and no sign of any problems yet. If I had known how hard this was I would have got quotes to do it.

I'm going to pull it out and open the cabinet today and have a look, the old seal is still on there but it is split at the top so it doesn't seem to have leaked yet.
