do you have a single or double tap for the kitchen?
the cold will be mains fed, so if its a single tap put a piece of plastic bag tightly over the end then tape on top of the plastic to help to hold it, open both taps (you might need to also hold the bag tape) the cold water main will push the air out, if you have two taps get a piece of hose and connect both together, and open both taps (you will have to hold the hose on probably, run the water for a minute or two and it should clear if not do it again
