help high exhust fume s?

hi i have a vauxhall zafira 2000 w reg ive had a major service and an mot done last week few things all sorted bar high exhust fumes had a new exhust 3 months ago with new cat asked the garage to blank off the egr but still no change. garage has no clue help got 3 days for the retake
