Mend Nokia 7610 Turn Screen Day

nokia 7610 won't turn on?

my nokia's screen froze the other day so i turned it off by removing the battery, but when i tried to turn it on again, for some reason the power button doesn't work. what could be wrong with it and can i fix it? thanks
