how can i change the battery?

but if you open then panel and dont have the engineering code,and its required,then you are scuppered my old son,you will just have to suck it and see,as they say,:-)

if you are aware of the engineer code-not normally given to users-you could do as gts said-however the assumption was made that you did not have the engineer code

You could also sit by the panel, chat to it a while and try and reverse its polarity. I believe you would need several head shrinks to assist.
Then it could claim benefits for being a homopolarity and get its own panel and not have to worry about its current ( current, get it) owner.
Otherwise take the advice below and take this as the joke it was intended.

the proper way is to key in the engineering code,then open panel,replace the battery,then close the panel and press reset,if the panel has been programmed tamper engineer reset,then you will need the engineering code to reset,if not then just follow mikes advice

as you open the control panel your sounder will start - tamper- enter code to silence. change battery observing polarity. cloise lid and then enter code and reset. try the systems setr and unset
