I've recently replastered my bathroom walls and I'm ready to tile them. At college I was told that newly plastered walls were the ideal surface to tile on but on the back of the Adhesive packet it says I should 'seal' the walls first. Which one is right? or does it just depend on the Adhesive?
I'm guessing you have "mastic" as opposed to "thinset" mortar, in which case you want to seal or primer the wall. Use a sealer made by the same company that made the adhesive.

do not tile directly onto new plaster. The dry plaster will draw the moisture from the adhesive too fast.it should be primed first.get primer from tile supplier.
