Honda crv stalling problem?

I gotta honda 2003 crv.. over a period of time it started stalling when cold and would not pull away. (it a automatic) also it stalls when having to stop at junctions etc. A mechanic said the idle valve needed cleaning...i did that..then changed the MAP sensor.. also checked coils..changed plugs..changed 02 sensor..cant seem to find out what it is and its cost me a forune in diagnostic tests etc..am i dreaming or are the mechanics i been to just avoiding fixing it.
