I've just removed the gearbox fron a 2003 2.4tdci Transit fitted with a durashift transmission system. The clutch was destroyed & the pushrod has been driven through the actuator arm. The piston in the hydraulic "slave cylinder" has been forced out of the cylinder. Shouldn't there be some sort of clutch travel sensor to prevent this from happening? Also I'm having difficulty getting parts for this system. i.e new pushrod. I'm in Gibraltar, so most of the ford people here have never even seen the Durashift system. Any advice would be welcome.
