I have tried cleaning inside the dvd player Matsui 225 model. But unfortunately this has not worked, any other ideas?

Probably the laser and so cheaper to buy a new player unless its not very old in which case take it back to Dixons/Currys for a free repair or a refund. You shouldn't worry too much about receipts as Matsui is a DSG (aka Dixons) own brand so you must have bought it from them.
