Mend Creda 48339 Element Cooker Remove

replacing base element Creda concept solar plus 48339 cooker?

I have managed to remove old burnt out element from above cooker, by removing RHS side panel and removing holding screws and connecting tags, can the element be re fitted from this side as there are metal tabs sticking up in the slot,(will it fit over the top) or does it have to be replaced by another method
