zanussi fl1084 timer removal?

I assume you have removed the cap from the control knob and removed the 7mm nut holding the knob on the timer shaft?.the cam bit behind can be rotated to give access to 2 pozi screws which hold the timer on to the washer frame.to remove the cap off the timer knob hold the back bit and twist the cap end bit anti clock until it can be removed.if it will not come off this way you might have to prise it off which can sometimes break them!
