What is wrong with the abs/esp unit on my C240?

I have a V reg 1999 C240. I recently replaced the front brake pads. I have now noticed a leak from the abs/esp unit - there is a little black 'plug' and it is coming from this. Can I repair this? or do I need to replace it?
