cheers ryan for answer,no because its a combi boiler its all off the mains,just seems to happen when cold tap is on

Your sewer is probably plugged from somewhere beyond where you bathroom fixtures tie in. Are you having the problem anywhere else in your house? You will probably need to remove your toilet and have someone auger your sewer.
