Pump is whirring but not kicking in?

The pumps on my power showers [ have 2 of them one in each bathroom, they run off same control/unit water supply] have stopped working. Get hot water but only at mains pressure, there's no " power" .

Put central heating on same day this occured, could there be a connection or is this a red herring.
