Mend Upvc Lock Handle

upvc door?

My front door won't lock properly. It is quite a new door as in under 5 years old. There seems to be a gap at the top lock. I usually have to pull the handle up quite hard and slam it to close it.Not good I know. I know it wil eventually not close at all soon.

if you keep forcing the gearing to lock it you will knacker it.
there are adjusters on the hinges try them
