no picture or sound?

Not enough information to even guess, although I sometimes wish my job was that easy.

Providing the make, model number may help an engineer make an educated guess at some common stock faults they've experienced with a particular model.

Provide as much info. regarding the fault. Is there any standby indication, any picture disturbances before it failed, any noises from the rear of the set etc.
