'what should i do?'

Absolutely nothing, sounds like it's working perfectly.
The red light will flash for approximately 7 seconds every 2 minutes, to indicate signals being receive from the remote stat.

I'm always amazed at the amount of times the times people conceive a problem that doesn't actually exist.
