Mend Kenmore 116.35173690 Vacuum Suction Filter

how can i fix my kenmore whispertone model 116.35173690 ?

No suction. and i have already pushed a wire completely thoiugh the hose. No obstacles. I also put my shop vac. hose into the kenmore and very strong suction . therefore that elimantes any blockage. They vacuum control on the hose is closed completely so no air escaping from that. I also checked the foliter and thats ok. Do u have any other suggestions other than the motor/ If it is the motor is it worth the repair ?
