Mend Mountfield RV 40 Mower Repair

my mower has stopped movig?

my mountfield RV 40 (150cc) has stopped propelling itself.It still cuts but will not move when I lift the lever .I think a spring or something similar ha broken but do not wnt to engage in any repairs until I have a vague notu-ion of what to look for

Had the same problem on my Mountfield sp460. It was just the belt underneath jumped off the pulley. I put it back and it seems OK. If you tip the mower up the oil may come out and it may also foul the plug so watch out for this and DISCONNECT the spark plug first.
