How can I switch off reverse light on 2002 Ford Focus in drive?

Thanks for your response and alerting me to how much kidney it may cost;-) The car is a manual. Does that make a difference?

gather its an auto so reverse light fuse is 10 amps fuse number 39 back of fuse box in car behind glove box (you have to take glove box off then undo fuse box think its 3 nuts then pull down to see back of fuse box and pull fuse 39 out ) idealy get a reverse light switch and fit it to your gearbox only cheap from motor factors (quarter of a kidney)
