Mend Gilera DNA 125 Help

help! my gilera dna 125 won't rev!!?

i was riding at around 70mph the other day and my accelerator just died, and it wont start ever since, i have changed the spark plug, and the cap covering it, but still no luck, any ideas???

take plug out put a bit of petrol in barrel put plug back in if fires its lack of fuel or spray easy start into back of carb through air box see if it fires

is plug sparking? if yes .then is spark plug wet or dry(petrol).
