My computer clock never shows the right time. How do I fix it?

Any other ideas...changing the clock didn't work.

If the time still keeps changing even after you've tried these answers then it probably means that your CMOS battery has gone flat. Somewhere on your motherboard there is a watch sized battery, this lets the computer retain settings such as time even when the power is off. If this has gone flat then your computers clock / date will reset everytime you switch it on. Its easy to remove the battery and replacements can be had for a couple of £ / $.

Can also be fixed by accessing the system's BIOS setup and changing the time from there. Usually you press escape or delete key upon booting.

Is there another way for me to fix it without a reinstall (I don't have the Windows Disk anymore because I loaned it to someone and never got them back)?

double klick on the clock in the bottom corner , then change the time in the dialog box that appears

if it changes back again to the wrong time maybe it could be a registry or bios prob.. all can be fixed with a reinstall though so dont think pc is done for
