problem with Vailant eco Tec 831?

have DHW, pressure fine 1.4 but have no CH, boiler fires up on demand and turns off, have no fault code only flashing rad symbal.

Vaillant Vaillant ecoTec 831 Heating, Home Heating Systems Problem Eco Tec

flashing rad symbol means the boiler is now in anti cycling mode, the boiler has achieved the temp set by the room stat therefore boiler idles

Make sure the central heating dial is turned up sufficiently (dial on the left, bottom of the pair).
Also make sure ALL external controls are calling for heat.
