can any one please help , I'm trying to put my family videos on dvd's but when I have burnt them onto a dvd they wont work on my living roon dvd player , is there a special format they have to be burnt to (if so could you tell me which one) the dvd works ok when i put it back into my pc though.
Try using a program such as winavi which will convert your film into a suitable format and then burn it to DVD. It doesnt matter what disk you use it can be either - or + and as for finalise them most programs including winavi do that automatically.

First of all make sure that you are suing the coirrect type for your DVD plyer e.g. -R/RW and/or +R/RW. Next make sure that you finalise them.
