were to put the loop wire?

am afraid t is living in the past,we no longer fit a red sleeve to switch wire,just cut the loop off .and wire up the light as per,live to live,neutral to neutral

Assuming that you do ot have the vert latest coloured wiring. The Loop Connector is the one that you connect the live wires (red) of the "Loop in" Lighting Circuit and the live (red) that goes to the switch to. The return wire from the switch will be black with a red sleeve, that goes to Live.

All of the black wires (OTHER THAN THE ONE WITH THE RED SLEEVE) go to Neutral and all of the green and yellow wires to earth.
