How to remove stuck VHS tape from built-in-car VHS player?
I don't care about rescuing the tape, I just want to rescue my indash VHS player. I have a 2001 Olds Silhouette van with the built into dash VHS player with the pull down from ceiling TV screen. When we push the eject button, the flap opens, the tape lifts up but it doesn't slide out and then the tape drops back down and the flap closes. Should I try to manually grab the tape with forceps and pull it out? What? Thank you.
Well if all fails you can do that with the possable problem of having to replace unit or take unit out and have it repaired
Drive by dealership on a Friday afternoon when its slow and ask service adviser for help with the problem ..sometimes beings how its friday and its slow you might get a responce or even get it fixed for free ....25 years @ GM dealship tech
