Compaq 17 in Screen Laptop -How do I remove marks on fascia?

Hi

Sorry to bother you, but I wondered whether you could give me any advice about removing marks from laptop fascias

I found a white blob on mine yesterday and it seems to have spread & now looks unsightly. I am heartbroken as I have worked so hard to look after it for over a year when I bought it brand new, and it now seems like it was in vain

I don't think the paint has been removed, because I haven't used any chemicals, etc on the fascia.

I am really keen to sort this out and would be so grateful for any help or advice you could give
