how do I make my citreon dispatch folding mirrors work with the remote key?

my citreon dispatch folding mirrors dont fold or unfold when I use the key on locking or unlocking but they work when using the internal button on the drivers door, the manual says that it is possible they might be deactivated does anyone know how to reactivate.
my van is only a day old from brand new.
