Fix a Krups Type 156 Toaster?

My Krups Type 156 Toaster has mysteriously decided not to work after giving no hint of anything wrong since its last use. The toaster has not been damaged, the condition is such that the toast basket will not engage when pressed down. Is this the sign of a damaged switch (mercury or other)? Is there a reset on the toaster?\r\n
Help me please with fix and or where to send for repair! Thank you.
