how to fix bonnet on rover 75 ?

The bonnet cable goes from the lever to a junction box behind the offside headlamp where it then joins to two cables going to the catches. If you take the headlamp bulb access panel from the o/s wheelarch liner and put your hand up beside the washer bottle neck you will find this junction box. The box comes apart and you can pull the cables to release the bonnet. They may be tight as the catches probably need freeing off.
