fire is leaking down by the turn knob ?

hi my fire turns on ok but when up full after few secons the flame comes down buy the knob and has burnt some of it off. my fire is a blenheim multifllue gas insert fire its abour 5 years old now, was servised 4months ago and passed be grat full if some one could help it worrying be a lot so not useing

Do not use it!! It is not safe..you have a leak in the pipework and it could potentially explode. Get and engineer to check it or buy a new one
