Mend Philips 4340 Stopped Properly Turn

Philips Azur Precis 4340 iron?

My iron has stopped heating up properly. When I turn the dial to any setting the blue light starts flashing to show it is 'heating up', but it only reaches a luke warm temperature. What has happened?
