Mend Fiat Stilo 1.9jtd Multiwagon Wrong Reg Engine

What is wrong with my Fiat Stilo 52 reg 1.9jtd Multiwagon?

My Fiat Engine keeps dying , I put the clutch in, slowly push the accelerator, grey smoke plumes fly out of the exhaust and then it clears , it does this about 3 times a day. I had the EGR Valve cleaned. Anyone know what it is?
