Mend Honeywell Accenta 6 Keypad Going

How can I fix my Accenta 6?

The remote keypad has been going a bit faulty and hard to set.I replaced the keypad,just the same!. Suspecting the battery as it was quite old,I replaced that too.Just the same!I have checked transformer input, I also have 12v to battery terminalsThe keypad remains difficult to set.The red power light is flashing instead of being a solid light.All you clever lads out there, Help

How do you change the alarm code for the Accenta 6?

theres two ways this can be resolved first remove the lid off the main panel and remove the battery and turn off the main power THEN put the battery back in the panel ( the alarm will sound enter your code and press reset ) replace the lid and turn the mains back on

if it still flashes then the battery you have is faulty

Sounds like its a service indicator thats the flashing.
Cannot see why the new RKP would act up unless there is a data problem, check all cables for continuity and or shorts. Especially earth faults.
