Mend Bissell Vacuum Cleaner Suction Filters

The Bissell vacuum cleaner I bought a month ago won't suck up anything. ?

The vacuum won't suck up anything. I took it apart and cleaned the hose, checked the filters, etc. The motor gets hot and starts to overheat. What gives?
