desktop keyboard cable connections?

I damaged my old Cherry keyboard cable so decided to remove the noise suppressor and just link the cable colour to colour bur found when seperated the two halves of the cable contained different coloured wires.The length with the PS2 connector are coloured Orange,Red,Pink,Brown plus a ground but the keyboard length are coloured
Green,black,Yellow,White plus the ground.I need to join these two halves,any ideas please.? I like this old keyboard and would love to keep it going.Be grateful for advice
