how can i tune in a toshiba tv without the remote (ct9554)?

Get a universal remote from a friend if they don't have the list of codes look up the remote on the net print out the user manual and codes if that one won't work or do every thing on your set get a different universal remote and try again. When you find one that works buy one of your own. I know you tried changing the batteries in the old remote. Or just get a new remote from toshiba. You might even find a toshiba universal at a local store. Also look for hidden controls on the TV.
