zanussi zwf1111w washing machine,wont let in water?

thank you for your reply,the machine does buzz when it is on or when trying to choose a programme.the water supply is always on because the ball valve is siezed open,its been that way since we moved here.i did try the machine whilst it was pulled out of its position,but it just makes the buzzing sound that i find hard to pinpoint.we are using a spare machine for now,but its quite old,so anxious to repair the zanussi

can you hear the inlet valve buzzing but no water coming in when you select and start a program?.make sure you didn't kink inlet hose when you pushed machine back and if you have those plastic blue inlet valve taps that the brass bit underneath rotates as the plastic turns but not the stop tap underneath so although you think its switched on its still in the off position
