how can i fix my fob key?

Hi my fob key for my ford focus (2005) stopped working so i changed the battery but no luck, i tried turning the key from position 0-2 got the chimes but the buttons still wont work, i took it to have it reprogrammed but the option to do that wasnt even coming up on screen so now im out of ideas, can anyone help??

take fuse out for central locking replace after 1 min then lock front seat belts and close all windows turn ignition key from I to position II four times in 6 seconds then turn off after audible sound then press and hold lock/unlock button till audible sound heard again then programmed fuse 77 (25 amp) in car
