How do i remove the Engine from 1985 Golf2 1.3 4 speed?

Hi there, how do i go about removing the engine from my golf.

She has a 1.3 carb at moment need to install 1.6i Velocity motor came out from Golf Mk1.

Do i have to remove the gearbox, or can i just undo the bolts and move engine to the right had side pick it out, and drop the new motor in ?

Please give me ideas doing it this weekend.
