first be sure to check all your fuses
next you will need to access your fuel sending unit
once you get to it you can unplug it with the key in the on position and it should read all the way to full or either empty........
take the wire now and ground it to the frame and it should go to either full empty or full ..oposite of what you had above ......
if it does this then the gauge in the dash is good and sending unit in the tank is bad
if it doestn`t the gauge in dash is bad ....
without proper diag equipment this is only other way of doing it .....good luck
